Gain an insight into the practical aspects of multimedia journalism and the techniques needed to build a business round it.

  

This free session is aimed at anyone who either works in news already or plans to use journalistic skills on the web. You might be looking to start a web business which involves news or just want to learn techniques to make your site or business more interesting. Or you work in a corporate where you need to understand the potential of the web and build communities though news.

  

Whatever your interest, this course will give you an understanding of both the business and practice of running a business in entrepreneurial journalism.

  

Speaker: Eric Guillaume, Project Director, ITV

Our guest speaker will be Eric Guillaume, Project Director at ITV. A formerConsumer Director at BBC Worldwide and senior executive at AOL Europe, Guillaume has worked across startups and international conglomerates. He has worked in developing and leading consumer strategies and business transformation projects for business to consumer companies in media, e-commerce and telecoms. He is a regular lecturer at the University of Westminster.

  

London Media Skills Week is a one-off chance to access free training sessions and networking events at Skillset Media Academies across the city between 21-25 November 2011.
